Category 1
Cost & Pricing
Transparent starting price ranges and what determines your final quote.
How much does professional Christmas light installation cost in Houston?
Residential roofline packages start at $750. Most Houston homes fall in the $1,500-$3,500 range for full-property packages. Estate installs with 40 ft oak wraps range $3,500-$15,000+. Commercial installations start at $2,000. HOA programs start at $2,500 for single monument entrances.
What's included in your Christmas light installation pricing?
Every package includes free on-site design consultation, all commercial-grade LED lights and hardware (custom-cut to your property), professional installation by our insured crew, free in-season maintenance including 24-48 hour freeze-response repairs, post-holiday takedown, and climate-controlled off-season storage. You never buy lights or store them yourself.
Do you charge extra for tree wraps and pathway lighting?
Tree wraps, pathway lighting, wreaths, garland, and yard displays are included in our Full-Property Transformation and Estate packages. Roofline-only packages can add tree wraps as itemized add-ons — typically $200-$800 per mature oak or pine tree depending on height and complexity.
Why does pricing vary so much from home to home?
Every property is custom-measured — roofline length, tree count, tree height, property complexity, and design choices all affect the final quote. A single-story Katy ranch has a very different scope than a Woodlands estate with 40 ft oak wraps. All quotes are provided after a free on-site consultation.
Do you offer multi-year contracts with locked-in pricing?
Yes. Multi-year contracts (2-5 seasons) are available for residential estates, commercial properties, and HOAs. Multi-year agreements lock in pricing, guarantee priority scheduling, and include climate-controlled storage between seasons. Most enterprise commercial and HOA clients use multi-year agreements.
Are your prices negotiable?
Every quote is custom to your specific property based on measurements and design. There's no artificial markup to negotiate down from — you get the fair price for your custom install. Multi-year contracts and bundled services (residential + interior decorating, or multiple HOA properties) can unlock discounted pricing.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, a deposit is required to schedule and lock in your installation date. The exact amount depends on project size — we'll discuss during your consultation. Balance is due upon completion of install. HOA and commercial contracts typically use net-30 billing terms.
Do you offer any discounts?
Early-booking discounts are available for October installs (limited crew capacity during peak season means we can offer better rates before Halloween). Multi-year contracts unlock locked-in pricing. Bundled services (residential + interior decorating, or multiple properties for one HOA) can also unlock discounts. Ask during your consultation.
Category 2
Service & Installation
How the install process works and what to expect from our crews.
How long does residential Christmas light installation take?
Most Houston homes are complete in 3-6 hours by our two-person crew. Larger estates with 40-ft tree wraps and full landscape lighting may take a full day. Commercial and HOA installations range from 1-7 days depending on scope. We schedule installations Monday through Saturday from early November through mid-December.
Can you install lights without damaging my roof, gutters, or trees?
Yes. We use non-damaging installation clips designed specifically for gutters, shingles, mortar joints, slate, and bark — never nails, staples, or drilling. Our crews are trained to work around copper gutters, historic tile, and mature-tree bark without damage.
Do you provide the lights or do I?
We provide all commercial-grade LED lights, extension cords, timers, and hardware. Every strand is custom-measured and cut to fit your specific home — no sagging, no gaps, no store-bought strands. Lights are stored between seasons in our climate-controlled facility and ready to reinstall next November.
Do I need to be home during installation?
For most residential installs, no — as long as we have access to a power outlet for testing. Many customers prefer to be home for the initial consultation but not the install itself. For commercial and HOA installs, we coordinate with property managers on access and timing.
Do you work with my HOA's architectural review committee?
Yes — this is a specialty. We're familiar with architectural review standards across every major Houston-area master-planned community including Cinco Ranch, Sienna, Riverstone, Cross Creek Ranch, Woodlands Township, Kingwood Association, and Fulshear-area communities. Our designs typically pass architectural review on the first submission.
Can you install on historic or heritage homes?
Absolutely. We regularly work on historic Houston properties in The Heights, Montrose, Meyerland, West University, Bellaire, and Memorial. Non-damaging clips work on all surfaces including slate, historic tile, and heritage brick. Period-appropriate warm-white displays are our specialty for character homes.
Do you install for commercial properties, hotels, and retail centers?
Yes. Commercial services include storefronts, restaurants, hotels, office buildings, retail centers, medical facilities, country clubs, and multi-tenant properties. After-hours installation available to avoid business disruption. Same-day Certificate of Insurance included.
Category 3
Timing & Scheduling
When to book, when we install, and what happens if you book late.
When should I book my Houston Christmas light install?
Book by October 1 to guarantee installation before Thanksgiving. Woodlands, Memorial Villages, River Oaks, and Cinco Ranch fill up first — those calendars start closing in early September. HOA programs should book by September 1. Late bookings may push into early December.
Can I schedule an install for mid-October or earlier?
Yes. October installs are actually our recommended timing — crew has more capacity, better pricing available, and your lights are ready when Thanksgiving arrives. Many Houston homeowners prefer their lights up before Halloween decorations come down. Early-October installs may qualify for early-bird pricing.
What if I need lights installed in December on short notice?
We do our best to accommodate late bookings but availability is limited. Priority scheduling goes to multi-year contract clients first, then September/October bookings, then late-season requests. Call 713-201-4425 to check availability for your specific week.
When does the install season end?
We install through mid-December for most projects. After December 15, availability is very limited and typically requires rush pricing. Post-Christmas installs are rare but possible for New Year's Eve events, corporate parties, or delayed bookings.
When do you start taking down lights?
Takedown typically begins January 1 and runs through mid-January. Priority goes to HOA and commercial contracts first, then residential in booking order. Most residential takedowns are complete by January 15.

HOA & Commercial
B2B contracts, insurance, architectural review, and multi-year agreements.
Do you provide a Certificate of Insurance for our HOA or property manager?
Yes. We carry $1M general liability insurance and provide same-day Certificate of Insurance (COI) naming your HOA, board, and property management company as additional insured. COIs are typically delivered within 24 hours of request — often same-day for time-sensitive board approvals.
How much does HOA Christmas lighting cost?
Single monument entrance packages start at $2,500. Multi-entrance HOA programs typically range $5,000-$15,000. Community-wide coordinated programs across master-planned communities range $15,000-$50,000+ depending on entrance count, clubhouse installations, and pool pavilion coverage.
Do you provide design mockups for HOA board approval?
Yes. We provide detailed design proposals with itemized quotes, mockups, and Certificate of Insurance suitable for board vote packets. We can also generate photorealistic AI previews of proposed designs to help boards visualize the finished look before approval.
Can you work with our property management company?
Absolutely. We coordinate directly with property management companies on billing, contracts, insurance, scheduling, and communication with the HOA board. Board members don't need to be involved in day-to-day install coordination — we handle everything with your property manager as the primary contact.
What master-planned communities and HOAs do you serve?
We serve HOAs across every major Houston-area master-planned community — Cinco Ranch, Sienna, Riverstone, Cross Creek Ranch, Woodlands Township, Kingwood Association, Fulshear-area communities, Shadow Creek Ranch, Steiner Ranch, Fall Creek, Sugar Land communities, and dozens more across Fort Bend, Harris, Montgomery, Brazoria, and Waller counties.
How much does commercial Christmas light installation cost?
Small business installations start at $2,000. Mid-size commercial properties (multi-tenant retail, restaurant patios, small hotels) typically range $5,000-$15,000. Enterprise properties (office complexes, malls, hotels, HOA-wide programs) range $15,000-$50,000+.

Weather & Maintenance
Freeze response, in-season repairs, and our Gulf Coast Weather Guarantee.
What happens if a bulb goes out mid-season?
Call or text and we're back within 24-48 hours to repair or replace at no charge. Free in-season maintenance is included with every package — no charge, no argument. If a Gulf Coast freeze event damages your strands (like Uri in 2021), we cover that too.
What happens if a freeze damages my lights?
Our exclusive Freeze Response Guarantee means we're on-site within 24-48 hours after any Gulf Coast freeze event to repair or replace damaged strands at no charge. Every strand we install is commercial-grade and rated for freezing conditions — but if something fails, we make it right.
Are your lights rated for Houston's Gulf Coast weather?
Yes. Every strand is commercial-grade LED and rated for operation well below freezing — not the plastic big-box product that fails in ice. All hardware is weather-resistant and designed for Houston's unpredictable weather including hard freezes, high humidity, and severe storms.
What if a squirrel or storm damages the lights?
Covered by our free in-season maintenance program. Wire chewed by a squirrel, branch fell on a strand during a storm, unexplained outage — one call and we're back within 24-48 hours. Zero charge for routine repairs during the holiday season.
Do commercial and HOA accounts get priority maintenance?
Yes. HOA and commercial contracts include weekly drive-by inspections throughout the season, plus 24-hour priority response for any reported issues. Multi-year contract clients receive dedicated account manager support during peak season.

Lights & Products
The commercial-grade LED options we install and what makes them different.
What kinds of Christmas lights do you use?
We use commercial-grade 2.5-inch C9 bulbs, 5mm C6 bulbs, 4mm mini LED strands, and full RGB programmable options. All are LED, weather-resistant, and rated for cold-weather operation. Warm white, cool white, multicolor, and custom color themes available.
Do you offer RGB programmable or app-controlled lighting?
Yes. Full-color RGB programmable strands are available as an upgrade. Change colors instantly for holidays, birthdays, game days, or seasonal palettes — no reinstallation needed. Popular for homeowners who want year-round decorative lighting flexibility.
Can I choose the color scheme?
Absolutely. Options include classic warm white, cool white, multicolor, red-and-white, blue-and-white, custom branded colors (for commercial), or full RGB programmable for constantly-changing themes. Every design is discussed during your free consultation.
Do you install permanent or year-round LED lighting?
Our core service is seasonal Christmas light installation. We also consult on permanent LED options (Trimlight, EverLights, Jellyfish, InvisiLights alternatives) and can help you decide which is a better fit for your property. See our
Permanent Christmas Lights page for details.
Are C9 or mini LEDs better for my home?
Depends on your home's architecture and style. C9 bulbs are classic, warm, and highly visible — great for traditional homes and homeowners who want the iconic Christmas look. Mini LEDs are refined and elegant — perfect for modern architecture, tree wraps, and estate designs where subtle elegance matters more than volume. We recommend a mix on many estate installs.
Category 7
Removal & Storage
Post-holiday takedown and climate-controlled off-season storage.
Do you take down the lights after the holidays?
Yes. Takedown is included in every package — typically completed between January 1 and January 15. We remove all strands, hardware, timers, and extension cords, restoring your home to its pre-holiday condition.
Do you store my Christmas lights for next year?
Yes. Because every strand is custom-cut to your specific home, we label and store your lights in our climate-controlled facility between seasons — ready to reinstall next November. Storage is included in every package. Most convenient option for repeat clients.
Can I keep my lights and store them myself?
Yes, if you prefer. We can transfer ownership of the custom-cut strands to you at end-of-season. However, most clients find our climate-controlled storage more convenient — no attic clutter, no tangled cords, and we handle labeling so reinstallation next season is fast.
What if I want to change my design next year?
Not a problem. Your stored lights can be updated with additions, replacements, or a completely new design based on your preferences. Multi-year contract clients get locked-in labor pricing regardless of design changes.
