Christmas Lighting for Piney Point Village Homes

Piney Point Village is one of the six Memorial Villages: about two square miles, roughly 3,100 residents and just over 1,100 homes, incorporated in 1955. The village doesn't allow businesses, so it's homes from one end to the other, mostly on large lots set back behind mature trees, gates and long drives.

That changes the job. A typical house here has far more roofline than a suburban home, often across two or three stories, with steep pitches and roofing materials that need the right clips. The trees are frequently taller than the house. And because many homes sit well back from the road, the first thing a neighbor sees is usually the gate, the drive and the trees, not the front door.

We plan for all of that on a walkthrough, price the roofline by the foot so the number is clear, and handle installation, service calls during the season and takedown in January.

What Lighting a Piney Point Estate Involves

Four things come up on almost every Piney Point walkthrough. Here is how we handle each.

Tall and steep rooflines

Two- and three-story homes with steep pitches get measured section by section, with lines cut to length so long runs stay straight and even.

Slate, tile and metal roofs

Clips are matched to the roof. Nothing is nailed, screwed or glued into slate, tile or standing-seam metal.

Gates, drives and motor courts

When the house sits far back, the entrance carries the display. Gate columns, the drive and the motor court are planned first.

Big pines and oaks

Trunks and lower canopies are lit where they show from the ground, and everything comes off cleanly after the season without harming the bark.

Large homes have long rooflines, so the number matters. We price rooflines the same way on every house: $6 per foot for warm white C9 LED, with an $800 minimum. Set your footage to see where you land.

Rooflines are priced per foot. Everything else is quoted after a walkthrough, so you pay only for what you choose.

Roofline lighting

Warm white C9 LED measured and cut for every roof section, including upper stories. $6 per foot, $800 minimum.

Piney Point Village Christmas Lighting FAQ

How much does Christmas light installation cost in Piney Point Village?

Rooflines are $6 per foot for warm white C9 LED, with an $800 minimum. Many Piney Point homes have 250 to 500 feet of roofline, which works out to about $1,500 to $3,000 for the roofline alone, including design, installation, service calls and takedown. Trees, gates, drives and the back of the house are priced after a walkthrough.

Can you install lights on slate, tile or metal roofs?

Yes. We use clips made for each roof type and never nail, screw or glue anything into the roof. Very steep or third-story sections are included in your quote after we see them.

Our house sits far back from the street. What gets lit?

Usually the entrance first: gate columns, the drive and the trees that frame the house. Then the front elevation. We plan it at the walkthrough so the display reads from the road.

Can you work around our household schedule or staff?

Yes. We schedule install and takedown days with you ahead of time and can coordinate gate access with whoever manages the house.

Do you serve both sides of Buffalo Bayou?

Yes. We work throughout the village, north of the bayou in 77024 and south of it in 77063, as well as Bunker Hill, Hunters Creek and Hedwig Village.

When should we book?

October gives you the best choice of dates. Larger homes take longer to install, so earlier booking helps. Takedown is scheduled after New Year.
